Metropolitan Black Police Association’s Women’s Forum and BBC Black and Asian Forum (BBAF) Presents… “An evening to celebrate the life and works of Maya Angelou” on Thursday 26th June from 6pm to 8.30pm At the BBC Media Centre Building, Media Centre Boardroom, 3rd Floor, 201 Wood Lane, London W12 7TQ. Join us for a celebration of Mayas life as we share poetry, inspirations, thoughts and stories about the life of this great female icon and discuss how she touched our lives. Maya Angelou was a poet, activist, dancer, actress and award-winning author known for her acclaimed poetry and collection of written works, such as the enormously successful; ‘I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings’. With guest appearance from poet, ‘Lyrical Healer’. Entry is free and open to everyone but you must register to attend by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
