Mexican Boxers are Flat Footed and Brawlers ?. I hear alot of biased boxing fans say that Mexican boxers are flat footed and straight brawlers. Think twice before saying that all Mexican boxers are flat footed and straight brawlers with little or no boxing skills. There has been some great Mexican boxers with great boxing skills. Julio Cesar Chavez sr holds the record for the longest undefeated streak in boxing history in a span of 13 years going 89-0-1 before his first loss. Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales had great boxing skills as they loved to exchange and mix it up with their opponents. Salvador Sanchez had great boxing skills and he was on his way to becoming the greatest Featherweight champion in boxing history before his tragic death at a young age of 23 years old as he finished his boxing career with 44 wins and only 1 loss. Ricardo FinitoLopez retired as a world champion and undefeated with 51 wins and 0 losses. The list goes on and on but lets talk about some current Mexican boxers with great boxing skills. Juan Manuel Marquez is a great counter puncher and holds a knockout win over the once called pound for pound King in Manny Pacquiao. Juan Manuel Marquez is a technician in the ring.Saul Alvarez is young but he has shown maturity as he has faced some good boxers in his last few fights.Saul Alvarez didnt look all that great against Floyd Mayweather jr in their fight due to the fact that Alvarez had to fight at a catchweight of 152lbs as he defended his 154lb title. Floyd Mayweather jr made Alvarez agree to fight at the weight that benefited the pound for pound king in Mayweather jr.Alvarez agreed to fight Floyd for the money in a fight where Alvarez was physically drained.Saul Alvarez fought Austin Trout a southpaw who was undefeated and a world champion at the Time of their fight.Trout Defeated Miguel Cotto by Unanimous Decision prior to the Alvarez fight in a bout where Trout rocked Cotto a few times throughout the fight.Saul Alvarez showed great head movement and was able to drop Trout and win a close decision. Alvarez took on a dangerous and slick southpaw in Erislandy Lara.Alvarez defeated Lara by split decision as he was the one applying pressure and landing the harder punches. Alvarez was chasing Lara all night and was able to land the harder punches. Alvarez is young at just 24 years old and far from his prime.Miguel Vasquez is the current IBF Lightweight and he is a slick tricky boxer with great boxing skills. Mauricio Herrera defeated Ruslan Provodnikov and he outboxed Danny Garcia in a fight where i beleive he did enough to get the win but the judges gave the fight to Garcia.Carlos Molina is also a good boxer who has fought alot of big names.Carlos Molina had a contreversial draw against Erislandy Lara in a fight where Molina landed 39 more punches than Lara. There we go folks,Mexican boxers know the sweet science but they prefer to fight toe to toe as they are Warriors. Please think twice before saying that Mexican boxers are flat footed and straight brawlers with little or no head movement. Mexico has produced over 205 world champions, thats more than any other country in the world.Mexico has had a world champion in 16 out of the 17 weight classes in Professional boxing. Yes that is truly amazing. We all know you dont become a world champion by being stationary and flat footed. My respect goes out to all the boxers in the world and especially to the Mexican boxers who are always criticized for loving to fight toe to toe.The truth.#Boxingholic.
