Mexicans who imitate black slang, who associate intimately with blacks,, who idolize black heroes and black personalities and who race-mix with blacks are known as MAYATEROS. Real Mexicans with pride and self-identity dont go around disrespecting our people or our culture by calling each other a nigger (nigga). The majority of Mexican people are very disconnected from the knowledge of their true Mexican indigenous history, culture and identity. This makes them very vulnerable to outside influence whether it be to Eurocentrism or Afrocentrism. They are very influenced by both whites and blacks and feel a sense of shame in their own Mexican culture and their own identity because they do not know how great it is or do not know its real history. Mexicans started imitating blacks since the early 80 with the appearance of hip-hop and the growing glamorization of black people and black artists in the American media. We have our own slang and our own identity. We are not mayates. So mayateros who are calling our raza a nigger (nigga) are disrespecting their own mother. Mayateros should be brought to self-knowledge and be taught pride in their own culture and people but they should also be chin-checked once in a while because thats the only way some knuckleheads learn. Being a mayatero is no different from being a coconut. Both are betraying our raza and selling us out. We are supposed to be Mexican centric not Eurocentric or Afrocentric. We are not white or mayate! Stop watching BET and feeling inferior to black people. Stop being influenced by other races and start being influenced by your own people and your own beautiful culture! Be proud of who you are, not of what youre not! Only mayateros look-up to blacks because they feel inferior to them. Mayateros are people who have simply transitioned from being slaves of the whites to being the cultural slaves of blacks. Stop being a slave to foreigners! https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=533806646749111&set=pb.100003593417417.-2207520000.1405709181.&type=3&theater
