Mexico Drug War-Michoacán: Persistent Crisis Yesterday Hipólito Mora, leader of a faction of the dissolved self-defense movement and a member of the Rural Force, was transferred to the Mil Cumbres Prison, on the outskirts of Morelia. Mora faces criminal charges for his role in the December 16 confrontation in La Ruana, in which his son Manuel and 10 others died. As may be recalled, the skirmish occurred between Moras followers and the group called H3, commanded by Luis Antonio Torres, El Americano, who has been tagged by several self-defense leaders as belonging to organized crime.
