Mexter The woman came back with the beer. “There you go” she said to Mexter. “Thank you” Mexter mumbled. “Just ignore him” the man said. “Morrissey might say “The more you ignore me, the closer I get, you’re wasting your time”, but obviously that person doesn’t know anyhting about Morrissey or The Smiths.” “I am learning all the time” Mexter said. “Did you know that when The Smiths were in Finland in 1984, on their way to play a gig at Provinssi-rock, Morrissey accidentally ate meat in a train. He ordered a pie and got a meat pie. He thought he would get a pie with no filling in it. He was furious” the man said. “I didn’t know that” Mexter said. “And did you know that, in December 1984, Morrissey said, in an interview he gave to New Musical Express, that: “Ah, I see that you have been shopping at Boots. They have a record in the country for testing out products on animals, murdering all these animals every single day. These people have to be attacked because they won’t recognise communication between the Animal Liberation Front and themselves. So…boycott Boots!” the man said and sipped his beer. “I didn’t know that one either” Mexter said. “Then it’s obvious we can’t get along” the man said.
