Mia is in her 8th week following her breeding, days 49- 56. If there are puppies, they are nearly fully formed (puppies can be born and survive at day 56). In my experience, with one exception, my puppies have come on day 63, 9 weeks from the day of breeding. This can vary somewhat by line or breed. At this point, with the right equipment, not only can you see fur, but you can see markings as well. The puppies will be moving quite frequently now. If it is a large litter they dont have a lot of room and you can see them as they move around. If it is a small litter, we may not even be sure shes in whelp. Just 2 or 3 puppies can be carried well up in the ribcage, hiding from both x-ray and ultrasound.
