Mibg Scan results: No uptake in the brain. GONE. Vastly decreased uptake in the abdomen by his liver, gall bladder and pancreas...His labs are better and jaundice level is almost normal. His neck lymph nodes are stable and the same size. The bad news. He has two new lesions on his low spine. Bony disease. His left and right femurs have more uptake...meaning more cancer..or it shows brighter on the screen. There was more uptake on his pelvis also. Wyatt has had trouble walking lately. Its not constant..but seems to be getting worse. We are to start chemo again next week. Im researching like crazy to try and find something that will help bony disease. I sure do not want his leg breaking like it did when he was initially diagnosed. Im researching tonight about a drug they give osteoporosis patients to help with bone pain. They sometimes give to people with bone cancer or metastasis to bones from other cancers. This is a torturous life. I didnt know if today would be the day that they would tell me No more trying...or if we saw results. Thankfully, I feel we saw some results. None of us is promised tomorrow. I get that. But our lives are like the constant ticking of a clock. Its so very hard to just enjoy the good things. I do my best, but its very hard. Im always searching, hoping and praying. My life is consumed by this disease as if I had it myself. I wish I did. And my boy was going to preschool oblivious to how cruel this world can be at times.
