Michael Cogdill here...Hey, yall have some big, giant fun this Halloween. This night always reminds me of the Great Savannah. Many of you know Halloween was Savannahs favorite night of the year -- that night when excited children actually come ring the doorbell by the score, ready -- well, most of them -- to get loved by a golden retriever who loved life, especially a young life. And one young at heart. The spirit of Savannah haunts the hollows of my heart right now. The most loving spook was she. All decked in her bandanna and that golden grin. See those dogs down there in Sheas photo? Theyre all in the family. Live like a golden. They love big, give it for free, dare to love everybody, and dont blush a bit when they pee outdoors. A golden never takes herself too seriously, wont hesitate to split a pond wide open just for the rippin fun of it, and couldnt care less what you look like, as long as your soul feels good and warm. Somehow, they see us at the soul, down where God lives. Theyll dig under the fences of your heart and tunnel in. Let em. Dog hair looks good on everybody, and every house. Happy Halloween. In the heavens, where many a child has gone, Savannah is having the night of her eternal life!!! Godspeed, sweet girl. I love you, always. You and my sweet Mags. And Ill feel your heads under my hands again some day.
