Michael Collins has passed tonight. He has gone home to be with God. His family has opened up their grief to us the last few days...remarkable...and while we all grieve with them...somewhere out there families are thanking God for the gifts that he left behind. Think about the joy the donors must feel...tears for that new heart, no more dialysis for that person with kidney failure....the list goes on. The Facebook posts on the other end of the spectrum must be going crazy tonight...posting about receiving a new heart would get over 100 likes...right? Sadness...happiness...tears and laughter of joy. Michael Collins became a true hero...with his vow to be an organ donor. May he fly with angels.
