If, like me, you oppose this deal, and oppose moving the park (and Little League fields) to an area that smells of raw sewage, please attend and make your voice heard. I personally think that our community has gotten the short end of the stick from the University of Texas system for decades. First we had our local TSC tax dollars subsidizing the UT local university (and were the only community in the entire state to have to do so). Now we will be giving away land that is supposed to benefit our children. I support higher education, but the UT system has lots of money, and can get the land it needs for its hypothetical future expansion somewhere else.
