Michael Danforth Transforming Thoughts Recently, while in California, I was introduced to a play writer in Hollywood that has been involved in some major film productions, including Avatar, and soon to be, Avatar 2. For the sake of privacy, and the gross promotion of personal ministry, I will withhold his name. As we begin to converse with one another over an evening meal, I was overtaken by a kindred spirit and the gravity of our conversation. Within minutes, we disappeared into a world of science, spirit, and Kingdom revelation. It was one of those rare moments of rapid fire where one thought quickly leads to another. Even though, I have received multiple prophetic words concerning Hollywood, I have never really seen myself as having any significant influence in the creativity of that world. To be honest, I’ve never had a desire to do so. However, for the first time, I can sense a stirring in my spirit to lean in that direction as the Spirit leads. During my recent discussion with my new-found friend, I felt a paradigm shift, seemingly in the blink of an eye. This is certainly a transitional picture of what is going on within the body of Christ right now. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, countless men and women will suddenly be caught up into another realm of Kingdom living and authority. I am not necessarily referring to someone or something, as much as I am to another dimension of the kingdom of heaven. In the middle of uncertainty, we have the potential to enter into a sphere of influence beyond previous imagination. Heaven awaits our entrance now, not just when we die a physical death. I am reminded of prophetic words in years past when the Lord spoke to me about “accumulated glory.” In short, accumulated glory represents an accumulation of Kingdom revelation that takes you from one realm to the next. Seemingly, in a single moment, all of our previous encounters accumulate into one sudden surge of spiritual enlightenment. As we are further clothed with glory, every aspect of our being takes on another form in the kingdom of God. We are currently at a stage of spiritual maturation where the power of God’s kingdom is beginning to reveal itself at the most basic level, especially in the area of “thought.” Nobel Prize winning physicists have proven beyond doubt that the physical world is one large sea of energy that flashes in and out of being in milliseconds, over and over again. Thus, the reality is, nothing is really solid, it only appears that way. Within the world of quantum physics it is also believed that thoughts are put together and hold together this ever-changing energy field into the ‘objects’ that we see. Of course, as sons of God, we know that everything is held together by the power of God’s word. Since the moment God said, “Let there be light” light has continued to vibrate at the frequency of heaven and has thus maintained its intended function throughout the ages. It is a known fact that thoughts release energy, which means they create vibrations and frequencies, which in the end cause motion. Most of us have experienced this in a negative way through someone who projects what is often termed as “negative vibes.” Even though the individual has said nothing, the intensity of their thoughts releases sound waves at a frequency that can be felt or sensed. I believe it would serve us well to investigate the power of thought in light of God’s intended purpose for all humanity. All of our senses (sight, sound, touch, smell and taste) have a specific spectrum. Our natural senses perceive the sea of energy around us from a certain limited standpoint. Most of our images and understanding of life is made up from this sensational view. This means that most of our interpretations of life come from our natural senses rather than our spiritual senses. Over the last number of years, I have come to discover more and more that our thoughts are linked to an invisible source of kingdom power, which forms multiple things around us. No, this is not “new age” but Kingdom age. It’s part of our spiritual DNA. Proverbs 23:6-7 reads, “Do not eat the bread of a selfish man, Or desire his delicacies; For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you.” In short, this is a caution not to have fellowship with self-centered people to the degree that we covet what they have. Even though they might offer you great hospitality, in their heart they are thinking otherwise. Therefore, in this case what a person is thinking in their heart is a reflection of their true intent. Through our spiritual senses, we can know what is in someone’s heart before their intent is made known. Jesus often knew what someone was thinking without them speaking their mind. He had the ability to adjust to the frequency of the sound of thought, thereby revealing the intentions of the heart. “And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand.” (Matt 12:25) “The scribes and the Pharisees were watching Him closely to see if He healed on the Sabbath, so that they might find reason to accuse Him. But He knew what they were thinking, and He said to the man with the withered hand, “Get up and come forward!” And he got up and came forward.” (Luke 6:7) This perceived understanding is not the same as exercising with the gift of knowledge, which is given to us via the revelation of the Spirit. The ability to dial into the frequency of thought breaks the barrier of gifting. Its basic practice is the equivalent of exercising our spiritual senses to such extent that we are able to dial into the frequency of the sound waves of thought. The Hebrew word for “think” in this particular text is “shaar” which means to split open or to act as a gatekeeper. This means that the intent of thought has the power to split open spiritual realms or serve as gates. In the previous passages of Proverbs 23:6-7... A gatekeeper can be someone whose thoughts are evil; therefore having the potential to ensnare others in its trap. The alternative gatekeeper is one who sets their mind (their thoughts) on things above, not on things below. (Col 3:2) Affording them the power to open up realms of glory; therefore serving as heavenly gates on earth. “Lift up your heads, O you gates! and be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.” (Psalms 24:7) As a gatekeeper of God, David knew what it was like to look into the heavenly realm, be lifted up into what he saw, thus becoming a door of glory for the king of glory to come in. You are a point of access from one realm to the next. Whatever comes into you comes into the world. We know that through the power of Jesus Christ, we have been lifted up and seated in heavenly places. However, many have not seen or accessed their exalted place of glory in the kingdom of heaven and therefore have yet to become the intended door of revelation on earth as they are in heaven. As followers of Jesus Christ, one of the basic doors to entering into the eternal realm of glory is through having our thoughts occupied with the mind of Christ. “For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1Cor 2:16) This accumulated process of thinking creates kingdom images, thus becoming doorways for us to enter into our eternal inheritance. Philippians 4:8 reads, “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely (loveable and gracious), whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell (meditate) on these things.” Why meditate on these things? Because as we allow the spirit of what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, of good repute, excellence, and praise worthy occupy our thought life, we are able to see beyond a world of chaos into a realm of glory. As a result, our thoughts become the doorway of heaven on earth, which in turn reveal the kingdom of God around us. Beginning with God, everything we see in our physical world started as a thought, an idea; an image that eventually became a visible object for all to see. Since then, for the most part, we have become what we think about the most. Our life tomorrow will be the result of our own thinking and imagination today. The world around us is a mirror that reflects the intent of our own heart and mind. In the beginning, God created… since that time, we have created most of the world as we see it today. Some have exhibited their ability to co-create with God, others not so much. To the degree, that we are able to see into the heart of the Father is the degree that the thoughts and intentions of our own heart will transform this earthly plane into heaven’s domain. Blessings, Michael
