Michael Data, the 5th democratically elected President Republic of Zambia, has died in London, where he had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness. He becomes the second sitting President to die in office in #Zambia after President Levy Mwanawasa who died in August 2008. On the other hand #Zambia have a white Deputy President, Guy Scott, who cannot stand in as President according to #Zambian constitution which says A person shall be qualified to be a candidate for election as Prez if both his parents are Zambians by birth or descent.” The current Deputy President of Zambia Guy Scott who is English and Scottish descent will take over as the president of Zambia until new elections in Zambia and he will be the first white president in independent Zambia as well as Africas first white president since the fall of colonialism.
