Michael DrBiggie Adeyemi I wrote; Why do we blame GEJ for the woeful failure of his administration. Why don’t we blame the big wigs that used him to punish Nigerians. Jonathan rose to the position of President without vying for it in 2010. He had no brilliant performance as a deputy Gov in Bayelsa State. The history says he was slapped by the Transport Officer even as a deputy Gov and nothing followed it. We all know how he got to the position of Gov in Bayelsa. His performance as Gov was nothing to write home about. Jonathan was okay with his wife until Nigerians stepped in. In a country whose official language is English, Jonathan did not see anything wrong in her “beautiful” grammar. He was okay to play around without shoes until Nigeria gave him one. He had been okay with his low key life until fate exposed his inadequacies. Most PhD holders in the country are ashamed of the fact that our president is grouped with them. GEJ rose to his significant positions by luck, unprepared for. Now Obasanjo and co. gave him over-sized shoes and we expected him to walk fast when he had spent most of his life “shoelessly”. For the sake of clothing GEJ, Obasanjo gave him over-sized suits and we expected that to fit him. What do we expect when someone who would have performed well as a Clerk is suddenly brought to the post of Director. Watch GEJ during both local and international interviews, he lacks confidence, he talks without clues, he can’t even appreciate what is expected of him to say in the public e.g His response to ‘‘why he didn’t visit Chibock Girls’ parents ( I believe the French President sitting next to him then shook his head for GEJ’s response inapparently) ” and “the way he separated stealing from corruption’’. Presidency is a position he had never dreamt and prepared for, the seat is too giant for his ability hence his woeful performance. Let us all put a stop to the disgrace he has brought upon presidency and Nigeria as a whole. Nobody is proud of him. Even those guys that hail him to his face.
