Michael! Here is one video simulating rotating and vertical water movements after a small rapid in the Lower Congo River. Very small scale, but enough for home aquariums. Hopefully correctly :) For other readers, please read the earlier topic SHOALING SPECIES FROM THE LOWER CONGO RIVER and especially Oliver Lucanuss descriptions how this river stretch really behaves. Almost unbelievable! The home of the rheophilic cichlids and 300 other species. Its a pleasure to know that numerous shoaling and smaller sized fishes (like the family Alestidae, African tetras) inhabit this river stretch and perhaps they also will be available in trade in the future. The fish in the video is Raiamas christyi, from the Lower Congo River drainage. Kind regards!
