Michael Hounshell has a bad cough and sore throat, so he wasnt - TopicsExpress

Michael Hounshell has a bad cough and sore throat, so he wasnt able to go with Sawyer and me today because Cincinnati Childrens is a no germ zone and the bad respiratory virus going around can be detrimental to heart kids at the clinic. It absolutely poured most of the way there this morning and, while driving normally relaxes me, I was stressed to the absolute max because we hit heavy traffic and had to take two bathroom stops for one very tiny bladder belonging to my wiggly, giggly just turned 7yo. To add to the fun, I somehow managed to spill a 20oz Speedway coffee all over me, turning my seafoam green sweater into a nice shade of baby poop green, and meanwhile I smelled like a gigantic coffee bean the entire day. But, Sawyer was an angel and an absolute trooper during all her tests. So she got her pick of a treat on the way home and and she chose McDonalds French fries and the carousel at the Florence Mall. I aim to please so we spent $20 riding every animal on that thing and then sat down to eat our fries when she asked me if I had a piece of paper and a pen. I dug in my purse and gave her a scrap piece and she moved to the next table and said, Dont look, mommy! She promptly divided that piece of paper into two and drew herself on the carousel with the words Thank You above it... on both pieces. One said, To: Mommy From: Sawyer. The other read, To: Mr. who was nice From: Sawyer H. Puzzled, I wasnt sure who the second one was for and before I could ask, she walked right over to the gentleman operating the carousel ride and gave it to him and said, thanks for the extra go round, sir, you are very kind. As if I wasnt already proud. He looked at me and said, Now, thats a special heart. I smiled and thought... if he only knew.
