Michael Parker-Walshes Rugby League career has not followed the - TopicsExpress

Michael Parker-Walshes Rugby League career has not followed the usual script. After a stellar 2011 where he guided the NQ Cowboys Under 20s to the grand final, Parker-Walshe turned down a first grade contract with the senior team, and the chance to partner Johnathan Thurston. Instead the Junior Kiwi retreated to amateur league on Queenslands Sunshine Coast before returning to Townsville to play another two seasons unpaid, rejecting several NRL offers. However in 2015 Parker-Walshe will return to semi-professional football with the Townsville Blackhawks to play in the QLD cup. The creative 23 year old five-eighth has said that he is now open to another NRL opportunity, so he is definitely one to watch.
