Michael Weiner, the head of the baseball players union, died today from a brain tumor. Below is a comment he made at the Major League All-Star Game in July that I found in a story on ESPN. We should all take his advice. I dont know if I look at things differently. Maybe they just became more important to me and more conscious to me going forward, he said. As corny as this sounds, I get up in the morning and I feel Im going to live each day as it comes. I dont take any day for granted. I dont take the next morning for granted. What I look for each day is beauty, meaning and joy, and if I can find beauty, meaning and joy, thats a good day. Peace be to his memory.
