Michael had a good day yesterday. Hes moving his right arm some - TopicsExpress

Michael had a good day yesterday. Hes moving his right arm some now. Several of you have asked when he will be moved to a room from ICCU. We dont know. Drs say this is going to take some time. He still has to be closely monitored, especially his BP and heart rate, due to the risk of other complications. Please continue to be patient with us. Its really hard, but those of you who know Michael well know he has lots! of friends. If everyone visited him, he would never get any rest (hard enough to rest in the hospital anyway.) and, he really needs rest. To help you all understand a little more, Michael had an 8 cm (softball size, they said) meningioma tumor right on top of his brain. We were expecting some leg movement issues but apparently it reached its nasty self way down to the basal ganglia, which is why hes having some cognitive issues. Theyve started a new med and tapering off some others so hes doing better today. The last 10 days have been really hard on him, physically and mentally. Several days of terrible bouts of seizure-like activity that would go on for hours. But, finally seizures were ruled out. Thank God!! It is going to take some time, but hes going to get there. We will let you know as soon as he can have more visitors. Thanks for your diligence in praying for him.
