Michaels blood counts were good today his medication level was lower but due to its constant changing state we will have labs on Saturdays and Sundays in the ER. Im hopeful that it will be a quick visit on the weekends. December will mark 3 1/2 years our family has been in the childhood cancer world. We are so blessed to have been able to be apart of this miracle but we are ready to see our child healthy. One day of a child undergoing treatment for cancer treatment is too long much less years. I cant tell you how much we long to be a normal family. As a mom I have missed so much time with my daughters it leaves a huge hole in my heart. We as parents will do anything to ensure Michael gets healthy again and gets his childhood back even if it means us being completely exhausted in the process. We have met some amazing kids and families along the way. The people you meet you become close to because you are share a common bond which is you love a child with cancer. When Michael was first diagnosed and relapsed our main goal was to do whatever treatment it takes to get him better. Now that he is cancer free we are fighting by his side so he can overcome the damage from treatment and other brutal side effects that have happened. Although at times this road seems very unfair to our family we always remember to give thanks for God getting him through everything and continuing to be grateful for todays blessings. Some times as humans we feel negative because of our situation but if you step back and take a look around there is someone who is way worse off than you. So remember to count your blessing even when you feel like you cant see them clearly. Lots of love and prayers to you all.
