Michiana Feral is a member of the South Bend Animal Care and Control (SBACC) Special Committee of the South Bend Common Council. We are helping to conduct a thorough review of Chapter 5 of South Bend’s Municipal Code which is about animals. In doing so, the committee will prepare a summary of advisory recommendations for the Health & Public Safety Committee of the South Bend Common Council for revisions and updates to Chapter 5. Your feedback is an important guide for our work. The purpose of this survey is to develop recommendations for the City Council to address the following outcomes: * Reducing animal impounds * Reducing euthanasia for healthy animals (including stray and community cats). * Increasing animal redemptions and adoptions * Increasing enforcement of the municipal code Would you please help us with this important project?
