Michigan First Credit Union - Lathrup Village, MI Member Services Representative- Part Time Call Center PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE 2 OPEN POSITIONS FOR THIS EMPLOYER Part- Time Member Service Representatives (15- 28 hours per week) Are you committed to service? The ideal candidates will have a proven track record of providing phenomenal service, preferably in a financial and/or retail environment. This team member must be able to work flexible hours including weekends to help support the 24/7 call center needs. Responsibilities Include: Provide excellent service for members by telephone, email, internet, or mail. Determine members financial services needs, and recommend services and products that address these needs. Process basic financial transactions for members including such functions as opening and closing of accounts, provide members with current account information, issuing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals from accounts, issuing certificates, drafts and other negotiable instruments. Respond to routine member inquiry regarding the operation of accounts, access to services, account discrepancies, adding or reducing service features on various accounts, and assisting members. Operates computer CRT terminal to accurately post transactions, access account information, balance transactions, and generally update member account transactions and information. Exceeds all member service standards of the credit union and is an advocate of our culture. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), Associates Degree in business or related field is preferred. Call center experience preferred. Previous bank, credit union or financial institution experience a plus. Ability to learn or be familiar with the differences in a basic number of products and services offered by other financial institutions to those offered by the credit union. Must be able to type 40 to 50 wpm. Strong mathematical skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (excel and word) and Internet Explorer. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor; ability to interact at all levels within our organization, in a team based environment and with the public. Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality. Ability to problem solve, focuses on effectiveness, be organized, flexible, self –directed and have a sense of urgency.
