Mickey the lobster was found abandoned this week in a parking lot near Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. The Lincoln County Humane Society said the origin of the lobster is unknown, but the society is looking into why the lobster was found in a parking lot, in a box. The Humane Society suspects the lobster could have been used as an April Fools Day prank. Kevin Stroobrand, executive director of the Lincoln County Humane Society, says that they are trying to get him onto a plane to go back to the ocean. The Humane Society is looking for a donor to fly the lobster to the East Coast. A person who has been involved in finding him has offered to drive him to Toronto at his expense, Strooband said. However, Mickeys unknown origins mean some research will have to be done before they can set the lobster back into the ocean, as it may need some form of rehabilitation.
