Mickey’s Daily Bread Isaiah Ch19. Here is today’s news written about 2,700 years ago [718 B.C.] Isaiah 19:2 (KJV) 2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. The present conflict in Egypt is a reflection of on-going turmoil over the years. In Isaiah’s day there was divisions between the north and south of Egypt and countries roundabout seeking to exert their influence over different areas. This centuries old conflict is however is nearing its end for in the near future to stop for God is going to do something quite wonderful and amazing. When I was in Egypt this prophecy of Isaiah was the hope and looked for longing of the Egyptian people and here it is. Isaiah 19:19-20 (KJV) 19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD. 20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. There is more so I will let the words speak for themselves and pray that this will indeed soon happen Isaiah 19:21-25 (ESV) 21 And the LORD will make himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that day and worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will make vows to the LORD and perform them. 22 And the LORD will strike Egypt, striking and healing, and they will return to the LORD, and he will listen to their pleas for mercy and heal them. 23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and Assyria will come into Egypt, and Egypt into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians. 24 In that day Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, 25 whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.” +
