Mickey’s Daily Bread Proverbs Chapter 14. Three more pearls to - TopicsExpress

Mickey’s Daily Bread Proverbs Chapter 14. Three more pearls to look at this morning but there are 35 in this chapter. 1 Proverbs 14:4 (KJV) 4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. A few years ago [before my time] Mike wanted to do a mission in a village where there was a hall that had originally been dedicated to the preaching of the Gospel. When Mike asked if he could use it for a children’s outreach he was told no because a new floor had been laid and the children could spoil it. Sadly there is no witness for the Gospel in that place anymore. Yes churches can be clean but if no outreach and we do not bring in those who need Christ then we have in effect a sanitised morgue. 2 Proverbs 14:12 12 There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. This verse is repeated later in proverbs as it is so important to consider. Millions if not billions of people are thinking that their way of life though not perfect is acceptable to God as their understanding of God is that He is merciful and when and if the day of Judgement comes they will be alright. So by their works they seek to be justified before God and reject the way to be justified through faith and receiving the gift of Eternal life through the Lord Jesus. Romans 3:23-24 (KJV) 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 3Proverbs 14:34 (KJV) 34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. This verse does not say a good economy or a clever leader or even hard work but where there is a morality and a nation that honours God and His Word then blessing will flow, as it use to be in Great Britain and America, and hopefully will be again.
