Microsoft has announced that Fable III will only be available as a free download on the Xbox Live marketplace until the end of next week and that it is not part of the recently announced Games With Gold promotion. The game is being offered to Xbox Live Gold members for free until June 30 as a lead in to Games With Gold. This new promotion will offer Xbox Live Gold members two free games each month, on the 1st and 16th, starting with Assassin’s Creed II and Halo 3–which game will be available first is yet to be confirmed. Once you download these free games you can keep them forever.
