Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Announces Grants to V.I. Presenters By Source Staff — May 28, 2014 The Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation has awarded three grants to U.S. Virgin Islands performing arts presenters through the V.I. Special Presenters Initiative program. The foundation, in partnership with the V.I. Council on the Arts, offers this initiative to help defray costs related to the presentation of touring performing artists who diversify presenters programming and reach new audiences. Artists must be from the mid-Atlantic region, but outside of the U.S.V.I. or from outside of the United States. Virgin Islands grantees include: 1) The Forum will present the instrumental trio Intersection (New York) Jan. 16-17, 2015 2) Tillett Gardens will present singers/songwriters Kim and Reggie Harris (New York) Feb. 3-4, 2015 3) Tillett Gardens will present blues singer Deanna Bogart (Maryland) April 9-10, 2015 Advertising (skip) Contact the venues directly for information on dates, times and tickets. Guidelines for the 2015-2016 Virgin Islands Special Presenters Initiative program will be available in late fall 2014. The program is made possible by funding from the National Endowment for the Arts Regional Touring Program.
