Mid-Atlantic Police & Fire Survivors Weekend takes place this weekend (Friday 9/26-Sunday 9/28). Weekend long events honoring NJ, PA, NY, DE, MD, VA and Washington DC survivors of law enforcement officers and firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty. WEEKEND EVENTS ~ Friday 9/26: 5pm - Delivery of ceremonial wreath brought from Philadelphia to North Wildwood Boat Ramp at 5th & New York Avenues, via the Philadelphia Police Boat Team. Saturday 9/27: 4:30pm-6:30pm - Display and demonstration featuring a NJ State Police Helicopter, K9, TEAMS Unit, and Fire & Rescue Equipment at 2nd & Surf Avenues. 7pm - Candelight vigil at the Lou Booth Amphitheater at 2nd & Ocean Avenues, followed by an interment at sea of the ceremonial wreath.
