Middle School Daily Announcements January 16, 2014 Yearbooks can be purchased before school on Fridays in the middle school commons or anytime in the middle school office at a cost of $25.00. The PTA is challenging the middle school to see which class can collect the most labels and box tops. The goal is for each class to bring in 700 labels between now and the end of the school year. That’s only 100 labels per month! If you reach your goal, your class will get chips and pop from PTA. Collection boxes are located in the middle school office. Salvaging Sisterhood Night Out will be January 31st from 5-9pm. This is a change from the original date that was given. Girls that are participating need to turn in permission slips and $4.00 to Mrs. Hedrick by January 17th. The high school is selling t-shirts for Courtwarming. The cost is $10 and orders are due by Jan. 24th. Order forms are available in the middle school office if you’d like to order. The theme is “Welcome to the Jungle” and a picture of the t-shirt design is on the order form. The 8th grade class will be participating in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). On January 30th they will take the Technology and Engineering Literacy Assessment. The school spelling bee will be held for 6th & 7th grade on Jan. 28th and for 8th grade on Jan. 29th.
