Midge Ure at the Best Buy Theatre in Manhattan last night. The Retro:Futura tour stops at Kool Haus next Tuesday, the bill featuring Katrina (ex of Waves), China Crisis (with a hefty concentration on Flaunt The Imperfection tunes), Ure (solo and U-Vox hits), Howard Jones and Tom Bailey (taking his Thompson Twins classics out of storage). Everyone was pretty good to great last night - Ure can knock buildings down with his voice, and Bailey sounded amazing, even if youre not accounting for his lengthy pop absence. He even wore a fingerless glove. Good stuff.
