Midnight! Went outside to get laundry of the clothesline. Love fresh things off the line. As I was putting them in the handmade willow basket there was a sound. A momma possum with her babies clung to her fur walking up a small pathway from the woods. Stopping briefly..her nose went up..black obsidian eyes looking my way. Picking up the basket walking to the back porch..as cool breeze flows around me. Bringing to me the scent of earth and messages from the mountains. From the cabinet got out grandmas old green tea pot. Steep n my favorite kind for the night. Living room curtains sway and billow in the night air. Softly making the house plants dance. Home made candles lit making interesting dancing patterns on the walls. Closing all windows..I walked over Ki-lings favorite cat toy..unstuffed..its fluffy white innerds all over the floor. Freddy the Frog..was lifeless. He went to the arms of Jesus. To take him to a better place. ;) Is there a frog Jesus? (Humor) On the blue faded couch with hot tea..sipping in its herbal flavor. Tick tock sound of the clock so faintly tells me its now past midnight Snoring fur carpets stretching out by the fire place. Looking like long fur sausages. Looking out the living room window..I see the frogs in the ferns..crunching on baby snails living there.
