Midnight is approaching and the last touches are being put into place before the mad dash to get completely ready by 3 PM tomorrow... were all super excited! Personally? Its nerve wracking. I spend the majority of my year getting ready for tomorrow. Its amazing how much planning actually goes into our yearly celebration. This years has been extremely tough do to a lot of unforeseen issues. Lets just say Ive put my heart-burn medication to the test multiple times in the last few weeks. But on to the good stuff!! I know everyone is always chomping at the bit to see what themes weve come up with. This year was extremely hard as Ive visited so many different ways to celebrate the winter holidays. Christmas has been such a major part of my personal and professional life that it seems Ive delved into every corner of Christmas Town! This year in planning I began to reflect on what makes Christmas, Christmas. Tons of images swirled into my head. While there are so many ways to celebrate across the globe so many elements in all our Christmas celebrating remain constant; the true reason for the season, the Christ-child and His familys glorious tale of going to Bethlehem. Then theres those modern traditions that shaped the magic of our childhoods, like Rudolph and Frosty. When I brought all these amazing traditions together on my drawing board I thought, these traditions are so iconic how do I mix them? And so it hit me! Im proud to announce this years theme to be; Christmas Icons! Each and every item weve purchased for this season speaks to the very essence of what shapes Christmas. On that note, Im heading home!
