Midweek Prayer Heavenly Father, we come to you this day as we are; Poor in Spirit, loveless and disillusioned. Help us to know what love is; so that we may love you with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength. Lord, and when we have accepted these commandments from deep down our hearts; help us to impress them on our children. Talk about them when we sit at home and when we walk along the road, when we lie down and when we get up. Father, more often we are shy or maybe afraid to share our faith with our friends, neighbours , workmates and those influential in our lives. Only through your spirit can we break the barriers of fear, intimidation and selfishness to share the wonderful good news brought about by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Lord, we pray today that we become humble, stronger in spirit and spread the good news as we reflect good deeds among your people. God Almighty, fulfil your word today, that says, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. In Jesus name we pray! Amen. (Prayer based on Deuteronomy 6:5-7 & 2 Chronicles 7:14)
