Might Devils Cory Schneider have a head injury? Injured by a high shot from Anaheims Matt Beleskey at 3:31 of the first period, Schneider was able to finish the period while noticeably struggling. However, he missed the final two periods with what Devils GM/coach Lou Lamoriello termed an upper body injury. Lamoriello, who would not elaborate, said no X-rays were taken on Schneider. While it appeared he was hit in the shoulder or collarbone area, it is possible the puck struck the goalie in the mask. He got hit with a shot in the first period. Hes feeling better right now, but he couldnt go back in, Lamoriello said after the game.
