Might as well give my two cents, lol. When Curry was there, fans said option was dumb. Hal Mumme came and we only concentrated on offense and our defense stunk, said the fans. Guy Morris got some big wins, but we wouldnt pay him. Brooks beat Clemson and Florida State in bowl games, including a win over #1 LSU, but the fans claimed we still didnt beat anyone. Insert Joker. (Any possible complaint ever uttered by the fans). Now Stoops...defense is soft, offense has terrible play calling and QB play stinks, says the fans. People, I do not know much about football and I openly admit that, but our fans are so sad to me. We all cry recruiting, recruiting, recruiting. Amd I agree. But UK is, has, and will always be a basketball school. We are never going to get guys out from under Alabama, Miss St, Florida, Georgia, etc. Yes, we may sneak a couple by them, but we have to be realistic. I will eat my own crow if we ever beat the Florida and Georgias of the world year in and year out. I just do not see that happening. Not being negative, just being real. There is a reason Miss St, Alabama, Georgia, etc are average at best over and over and over and over in basketball. They are football schools. So, lets accept what we are, and get behind our coaching staff for once. Aim to win 6-7 games a year with am upset over one SEC power and a split vs UT and UofL. One thing is for sure, the fans complaining and crying out for changes have landed us in a familiar territory. Grab a whistle, put your application in, and let the rest of the world sit and second guess you from their recliners. Its amazing to me how everything is so obvious to our fans, should be easy to do this or do that. I am sure UKs staff is well aware of their weaknesses. Do we all really think we know more than them guys? I meam, really, do we?
