Might plea bargaining be the game plan here? I mean, when those high riding 50 business magnets from Nigeria flew to Kenya with their state - of - the - art jets, I said it here that these guys are not here to sample our juicy coastal beaches. There was a lot at stake, a wealthy president was in court. There was a lot of leverage: Kenya had struck oil. There was a lot of connections: the presiding judge was a Nigerian, Bensouda comes from across the fence. The ICC prosecutor was desperate to get evidence, the government was desperate to unchain the president, Mt Kenya was desperate to revenge their lost properties during the PEV, The business moguls were salivating for the oil and coal mines.....witty brains were at work, deals had to be made: the prosecutor gets evidence to fry one suspect and let the other walk, the businessmen get a few Wells, Mt Kenya gets its sweet revenge and life goes on.....or am I reading too much into this? #passthatchampagne !
