Migori Governor heckled at Uhuru function via Capital FM Migori Governor Okoth Obado was on Monday shouted down by area residents at a function attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta. He was heckled and shoes thrown towards the presidential dais forcing the President to intervene. “We have come here because we know that there is only one Kenya. We must unite and work together,” The President said amidst chants of ODM, ODM, the party which belongs to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who lost to Kenyatta in elections last March. Suna West Member of the National Assembly Joseph Ndiege had earlier addressed the crowd in vernacular as he unsuccessfully tried to calm them down when they declined to be addressed by Obado. Obado who is perceived to enjoy support from the ruling Jubilee Coalition has recently expressed opposition to the push for a referendum led by the CORD leader.
