Mike Johanns has been in Government for 31 years. As Govenor of Nebraska he vetoed more legislation than any other Govenor, including raising teachers wages. In 2005 he was appointed by George W. Bush as Secretary of Agriculture for his knowledge of bio - diesels and ethanol. Bush Jr. Didnt have a great track record on appointments, and bio - diesel and ethanol havent exactly boomed. He has spent the last 9 years in the federal Government. He is on the Committee on Veterans affairs (we all know how that is going), as well as 16 other committees. Maybe when you try to get a cut from too many lobbyists, you arent able to actually do any work. Johanns endorsed Pete Ricketts. That seems about right.
