Mike Levin was a forward observer for the 489th Armored Field Artillery Battalion during the Battle of the Bulge. An Air Force reporter, Senior Airman Rusty Frank, caught up with him at Spangdahlem Air Force Base in Germany after veterans of that battle completed a 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge tour last month and interviewed him. At about the 2:30 mark, youll find his description of his job on that battlefield - one that artillerymen (and women) of today will readily recognize.
