Mike and Dennis Graf and (ME!) are coming to Mt Morris for the 4th in 2015. Really hope I see some of you guys (my friends--esp those I havent met yet. Anyhow, Im about to reveal a family secret about Dennis, that one of you might like to mention to him while hes home. Becky commented in here about kids mispronouncing words which turn out embarrassing. I commented to her--and naturally I backspaced to correct a word--and the whole comment disappeared. This #$$% thing. Heres what I said: (1) Mike, Steve Jewett, and I remember Smoky Nelson all tried to get Dennis to say, FIRE TRUCK! You can imagine what he said! (2) Heres the one you might give him a rough time about: My cousin (about 11, from Cleveland), Mike and Dennis about 5 yrs old) and I were playing up in my yard. Cousin John Richard says to Dennis, Hey Denny! Cmon upstairs with me for a minute. I wanna tell ya something! So Denny happily follows JR upstairs. About 5 min. later, Denny, crying and screaming like a wild man, shot down the stairs, out the door, and headed for home faster than Jesse Owens! We all wondered what had JR said to him. Ten min. later, my Aunt Lillian stormed up Main St. to our house mad as The Mad Hatter! She chewed our asses like a Drill Sergeant who learned his wife forgot to pay the electric bill! When she finally got done, home she went. What in the world did you say to him, John Richard? The offense: HE TOLD HIM THERE WAS NO SANTA CLAUS! Nice kid, that John Richard!
