Mike and I are in DC working on what we call Strategic Planning for 2015. In reality its closer to a tactical meeting because the decision making revolves around resource allocation for the next calendar year. Although we also cover broad concepts like methodology of geographic expansion, valuation, and commitments over the next five years. We have always gone away for these meetings in order to completely focus our minds on the topics at hand, with no outside distractions. The new venues also invigorate and stimulate ideas and thinking. I would say that it is both intense and draining, but always producing the best of results. This year will be no different :)
