Mike and I began healthy eating some time ago. Mike stayed with it this whole time. I went on a hiatus for a while, but Im back at it. During this time, Mike, who is 62, went from 215 pounds to 186. He looks great, feels great. I am right now at my lowest weight in 2 years. I have a long way to go...but the scales doesnt lie...so Ill take it. I am convinced that there are 3 main things that cause people to gain weight, and when you reduce these three things, or better yet, cut them out, you lose weight: wheat, corn, refined sugars. Mike loads up on fresh fruits and veggies. So, when someone says, Better stay away from fruit...it has alot of sugar. Well, it is natural sugar, and it sure hasnt harmed him any. Mike also eats very little processed foods, and drinks at least 10 bottles of water a day. I have found that juicing once a day is great for your digestive system, and it gives you a burst of energy due to all of the nutrients and natural enzymes.I put ginger in my juices, and it appears to reduce the pain in my joints and swelling.
