Milano/Mailand/Milan - what a wonderful city. When I sang there, I loved being at La Scala but was not thrilled by Milano. Now I have seen a new side of the city, and love it. Ristorante Cracco was simply fabulous, and the concert with the Boss was amazing. I have never seen such a generous, giving artist - three hours and forty minutes of constant concert, no breaks and no intermission. Wonderful. Plus another great meal, this time at Il Marchesino, the restaurant from Gualtiero Marchese next to Teatro a la Scala. Again - fabulous. The area Naviglie is so much fun and just full of life. Was für eine wunderbare Stadt. Als ich an La Scala sang, liebte ich an La Scala zu sein, war aber nicht von Milano selber begeistert. Jetzt habe ich eine ganz andere Milano kennen und lieben gelernt. Ristorante Cracco war eine Augenweide - grandios. Das Konzert mit The Boss war unglaublich - so ein wunderbare Künstler habe ich selten gesehen, bereit alles für sein Publikum zu geben. Drei Stunden und vierzig Minuten ohne Pause gesungen und gespielt; einfach einzigartig. Noch ein Essen, diesmal bei Gualtiero Marchese in Il Marchesino, neben dem Teatro a la Scala. Einfach brilliant. Und der Stadtteil Naviglie - so voller Leben und so viel Spass.
