Milan’s Galliani: I like Diamanti Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has fuelled suggestions that his club could make a move for Bologna’s Alessandro Diamanti. The Rossoneri are set to revert back to a 4-3-1-2 system next term and the official has today admitted that a new attacking midfielder will arrive. “We are looking for a trequartista even if we already have Kevin Prince Boateng and Riccardo Saponara,” Galliani noted on Thursday. “Real Madrid’s Kaka won’t arrive though as he is totally out of our reach, but I do like Diamanti as I like other players…” Italian international Diamanti, 30, has been paired with possible moves to Inter and Juventus given his form at the Dall’Ara in recent seasons. “Only if players leave can others come in,” Galliani added. “And our transfer campaign will not be affected by whether we win or lose the Champions League play-off game.” Galliani was also asked to discuss the speculation that Juventus are close to signing Carlos Tevez, the Manchester City striker who almost joined the Diavolo in January 2012. “I would be a little disappointed if he was to go to Juve seeing the relationship we have with him,” Galliani stated. “But President Silvio Berlusconi is right – if we had signed Tevez then we wouldn’t have later netted Mario Balotelli.”
