Milestone moment. Didnt think it would be. I will becoming an Official MSU Alumni Saturday. Funny, most people comment about taking 5 years for a 4 year degree...It took me 20 !!! LOL. ... MSU has been very kind to me. Ive been given opportunities here beyond belief. Had it not been for MSU, I could not have earned my Associates & Bachelors degrees beyond, nor my certifications with the Commonwealth of KY, or permitted to advance into my current career. But most importantly, my children, and my family, get observe the celebration this time. Unlike the others, whereas I received diplomas in the mail or a congratulations email...I get to shake the hands of the people on our platform that have supported me for years. Very grateful. Most importantly my kids. I feel obligated to encourage them to never give up, and hopefully, dont drag your feet for 20 years !!! Of course my daughter is in a photo in my cap and gown....silently I thought, she can almost wear it now. Thank you Morehead State University for all you have done for me and my family.
