Military Wall Of Honor HUMPHREYS, MO. -- UPDATE: KTVO has learned the Patriot Guard plans to escort the body from the Kansas City International Airport to Milan at 11:00 am Tuesday. Visitation and the funeral will be at the Milan Christian Church and then burial is in a rural cemetery between Milan and Browning. Read more of his obituary below. PFC Jonathon Michael Dean Hostetter PFC Jonathon Michael Dean Hostetter, 20 years old, of White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico, and formerly of Milan, Missouri, passed Friday, August 23, 2013, of injuries received while serving his country in the United States Army in Afghanistan. Jonathon was born on November 12, 1992 in Trenton, Missouri, of Mike and Lisa Hostetter of Milan, Missouri, they both survive him. On January 26, 2013, he married Tahler Daniele Cameron in Las Cruces, New Mexico, she also survives him. Other survivors include; two brothers, Spencer Hostetter and Jamison Hostetter, both of Milan; his maternal grandfather and step grandmother, Floyd and Raylene Jefferson of Linneus, Missouri; Paternal great grandmother, Norma Hostetter of Yarmouth, Iowa; Paternal grandparents, Mike and Pam Hostetter of Milan; a maternal Great Grandmother, Irene Jefferson of Brookfield, Missouri and formerly of Linneus, Missouri; Father and Mother-in-law, Rodney and Stacey Cameron of Gallatin, Missouri; two sister-in-laws, Shelby Cameron and Sydney Cameron; and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Jonathon was a graduate of Linn County R-1 School, while in school he received many awards and accomplishments including: KMZU Dream Team for two years; All Conference in Basketball for 3 years; All District in Basketball for 2 years; made the NEMO Basketball All Star team, the Linn County Leader Dream team for 3 years, and the Sports Writers’ District team; and he made All Conference and All District Baseball for several years; and was awarded at his High School Graduation the U.S. Army Athletic Excellence Award. During school he was in Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He loved Basketball, Swimming, and enjoyed singing, and being around people. He loved to cook and entertain his friends and family hosting BBQ’s. Jon was a member of the Milan Christian Church. Funeral services for Jonathon will be held 1:30 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Milan, Christian Church in Milan. Burial will follow at White Oak Cemetery, south of Milan. A visitation will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday evening at the Milan Christian Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to go to a Linn County School Scholarship Fund, c/o Mike and Lisa Hostetter.
