Military Whistles Continuing on from a post yesterday about the broad arrow mark. Here is a picture of a NZ military whistle, which quite clearly shows the arrow between the letters NZ. Does anyone here collect military whistles, or perhaps have one in the family as an heirloom. I must admit to liking the very ornate whistles, which were attached to the cross belt, of the pre Boer War uniforms. One of the more basic of designs, is depicted in the second photograph.
