Military has capability and determination to fight terrorists: Kayani RAWALPINDI: Army Chief Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kayani on Monday vowed to continue the war against terrorism. Gen. Kayani in a statement paying tribute to the martyred soldiers in Upper Dir and Bannu said it is understandable to give peace a chance through the political process, but no one should have any misgivings “that we would let terrorists coerce us into accepting their terms.” Kayani said that the military has the capability and determination to fight terrorists and those responsible for the killing of officers would be brought to justice. Three military officers including Maj. Gen. Sanaullah were killed in an IED blast in Upper Dir. The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for the attack with spokesman Shahidullah Shahid setting terms for talks with the government.
