Military men and women- thank you so much for your service. Im so - TopicsExpress

Military men and women- thank you so much for your service. Im so appreciative of everything you do. I had the most amazing conversation with a military spouse tonight. Please dont forget what spouses go through- what they give up, and more importantly, WHAT THEY ACCOMPLISH, in your absence- from the mundane to the amazing. We thank you, endlessly, but dont forget those left at home, holding it all together, making it all work while you are away...military spouses make life happen, life that sadly and thankfully you sacrifice. But it is a hard job. I was only a spouse for a short while. I only knew the hes away but coming back, but I dont know when for a short while. While I have given my all, it was only until.... for a short while. The spouses repeat this pattern day after day, giving their all and holding it all together regularly. This shows their love and commitment to you, and their sacrifices are equally as important- they make it so you can make it. Sometimes it is hard to be lonely, hard to hold on, hard to do it all. Dont forget that. Please, take a moment to check in. Take a moment to understand their wants and needs. Take a moment to say thank you. Take a moment to tell them theyre loved and appreciated and that their accomplishments are amazing, because they are. Take time. Understand what youre missing out on, and be a part of it when you can. To the other 99%, take a moment to say thank you- to a spouse. They deserve it, too. Its a hard, thankless job to be lonely and longing for your spouse to be beside you. Its hard to realize youre second....to an entire nation of people you dont know. Its hard to be a single parent when on paper thats not what youre supposed to be. Its hard. Its a life of unkindness, readjustment, instability, constant fear and STRENGTH beyond measures. I strongly feel that only the strongest are meant for a life of the military; only the strongest survive, and only the strongest overcome. Help lift those that need a re-amp to their strength- it only takes a few words. Only the strongest make our freedoms what they are. Take a moment to notice, understand and recognize. Thank you to you all who have sacrificed so much. (Sorry for anyone I missed...)
