Do you have knowledge of expressing, storage and pasteurizing of human milk? Do you have knowledge of HASSP and Batho Pele Principles? Do you have good interpersonal and communication skills? Requirements: Grade 10. Recommendations : Knowledge of expressing of human milk, storage, pasteurization, labeling and advantages of human milk use. HASSP Principles. Batho Pele Principles. Good communication skills, ability to work in a team and independently, high motivation level and good interpersonal skills. Duties: Cleaning and disinfecting the milk bank. Cleaning floors wash basins, working surfaces, mops, cloths, equipment, window sills, walls, freezers and fridges where the human milk is kept. Reporting faulty equipment. Check human milk stock for expiry dates. Collect expressed human milk from donors and label correctly according to screening form and freeze. Pasteurize human milk if there is enough for the machine. Check fridge for any unlabeled or old human milk, discard and report. Help ill women, separated from their infants, to express. Take expressed milk to infants to be fed by the nursing staff. Report wastage and unlabeled donor milk to supervisor. Report any problem regarding breast feeding or handling of milk to the supervisor. Report any illness to supervisor. Follow all hygiene procedures.
