Millbrook Police officers and Department staff were honored Tuesday by Chief P.K. Johnson at the Millbrook Civic Center. Johnson provided steaks for his entire department, while volunteers in the community cooked side dishes. Many more members of the community showed their appreciation for the service of officers and staff by giving door prizes. Officer Scott Liles was named as the Officer of the Year for his part in helping to stop a string of burglaries in Millbrook and surrounding areas. Melissa Stiles, who is Johnsons administrative assistant and supervisor over dispatch, was given the Chiefs Award for her service in keeping everyone in line and organized. Lt. Don Pugh was also given a Chiefs Award for his help in breaking the case of a prostitution ring at a local massage parlor. From left are Liles, Johnson, Stiles and Pugh. (Photo by Sarah Stephens)
